What's included
The whole outside, done properly.
Wash
Pre rinse and foam bucket first, then a two bucket hand wash so dirt lifts off instead of getting dragged across the paint.
Wheels
Wheels, rims, and fenderwells cleaned and dressed, plus iron removal and a clay bar pass to strip anything bonded to the paint.
Sealant
A 6 month ceramic sealant goes on after the wash, then a microfiber dry with no swirls. Exterior glass finished last.
Clean paint, no swirls
Why it matters
A dirty wash mitt does damage.
Most swirl marks on a car don't come from driving, they come from washing. A dirty sponge or an automatic carwash drags grit across the clear coat every single time, and it adds up fast in Hilo with salt air and rain.
The foam bath and two bucket method are the difference. Foam lifts dirt off before anything touches the paint, and the two bucket method keeps that dirt from going back onto your wash mitt. The wash mitt doesn't grind grit into the paint anymore.
The ceramic sealant on top buys you time between washes and makes the next one easier, because less sticks to the paint in the first place.
The work
What actually happens on site.
1.5 to 2.5 hours, start to finish. Every step matters for how the paint holds up between washes.
Pre rinse and foam
A full pre rinse knocks off loose dirt, then a foam bucket coats the car to start breaking down grime before we touch it.
Two bucket hand wash
One bucket for clean soap, one for rinsing the mitt, so dirt never gets reapplied to the paint.
Wheels, rims, fenderwells
Cleaned and dressed. This is usually the dirtiest part of the car and the most skipped.
Iron removal and clay bar
Iron removal pulls embedded brake dust out of the clear coat. Clay bar strips off anything still bonded to the surface.
6 month ceramic sealant
Applied once the paint is fully decontaminated so it bonds to clean paint, not to whatever was stuck to it.
Microfiber dry and glass
Dried by hand with microfiber, no swirls, exterior glass finished last.

How is Exterior Detail different from Full Detail?
Exterior is paint, wheels, and glass on the outside only. Quick and powerful for regular upkeep. Full Detail adds the entire interior reset, vacuum, steam, leather, vents, jambs, plus paint sealant. If it's been a while since the car was detailed, get the Full.
How long does the appointment take?
1.5 to 2.5 hours typical. It's built to be a fast, thorough exterior refresh, good for keeping the car looking sharp between full details.
Mobile or at the shop?
We're fully mobile and most details happen at your driveway, office, or job site. We bring our own generator and supplies, we just borrow your hose. If you'd rather drop the car off, we also do in house detailing at our shop.
Do you need water and power on site?
We bring our own generator for power. We do need to borrow water from a hose for the wash and decon. If your spot has no spigot, tell us and we'll either bring water or have you drop the car at the shop.
How long does the ceramic sealant last?
About 6 months with normal washing. It's a lighter layer than a full ceramic coating, meant to protect the paint and make washing easier between visits, not to replace a multi year coating.
What's the $50 deposit for?
It locks in your day and time, and it comes off the final invoice. Balance is paid after the walk around when the car is done, never up front.
Can I bundle this with another service?
Yes, and you should. Bundling almost always saves money vs booking individually. Tell us what you want during the quote and we'll structure the price.
